HowTo: Connect Pidgin Chat Client to Facebook Chat

Facebook is kind of a life-changing web-application for me. Why? Facebook was the first social-networking sites that I have been into that offered chat in it. Ever since they’ve added that feature, everyone seems to be hooked to Facebook, instant messenger users dove right down in terms of usage, even IRC seems dead now because of it. Everything you need to communicate to your friends is in Facebook already except attaching files on your messages. But who knows, maybe they’re already planning about it.
Anyway, I’m an Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat user and I’ve found a way to connect Pidgin to Facebook chat and here’s how:
Step 1
Click “Accounts” on your Pidgin Chat Client and then click “Manage Accounts“.
Step 2
Click the “Add” botton.
