Live PageRank vs. Google Pagerank Status

Live PageRank and Google Pagerank StatusYou probably wondering what those are? Well, those are add-ons for FireFox Web Browser which displays Page Rank on every website you visit. If you are conscious about a site’s Page Rank when you visit them, these add-ons display Page Ranks on your FireFox’s status bar Real Time.

I’ve been experimenting on these add-ons, just to see which is better. Well both can display real time Page Ranks on websites you visit, but, as the quotes say, there’s always a bigger fish.

For a month, I finally decided to post this review on both add-ons and share to you guys which is better for me. As you can see the picture above, you might say “there’s something wrong”. I don’t know if it’s a bug or something but here’s my thoughts.

Google Pagerank Status (Right add-on on the pic above) displays Page Ranks correctly and faster than Live PageRank does.

Why is the other displaying 9/10 while the other n/a?

My observation is, when you go from a ranked sites to a n/a ranked site in tabs, Live PageRank (on the left) doesn’t update its display.

In conclusion, Google Pagerank Status loads faster and updates the display every time you switch from one tab to another.

You can download and install Google Pagerank Status add-on here and Live PageRank here.

It's really nice having a coffee while reading, I'll appreciate it if you treat me one.

I personally use and recommend the Firefox add-on “SearchStatus” by Craig Raw. It not only shows the Google PR but also Alexa and Compete Rank of a site and some other neat SEO features…
