Funny Thing on a Call Center
Hah, have you worked on a call center or are you a call center agent? Well I’m not a call center agent, but I do work in a call center as a transcriptionist. Life on a call center is very tiring, some might have big starting pays but some doesn’t too.
I don’t hate my job, I just hate the time. In fact, I love my job! Hehe. Funny thing about working in a call center is, MOST of the people are Social climbers. Well, that’s what I noticed. No offense but, it is true. and 70%of the men is GAY. I’m glad that most of my co-workers are straight, the transcripstionists I mean. But when you say inbound/outbound call center agents, most of them are gay, loud gays.
And one funny thing too, in our room, where we transcribe, we’re not the only ones are using the room, other schedules are call center agents. I just laugh when I see my MONITOR shining like they have glitters on the screen, do you picture it? Hehehe, yeah. Salivas all over the screen! What do you expect, they talk IN FRONT of the screen WHILE spitting on it. Hehehe. Just kidding, but true. I just ignore it when I work, just let me work but don’t ask me to clean my monitor.
The person using it should notice his/her work but rather not clean it. Eww right? Heh.
Anyway, I love my work, I really do. I just don’t like the time schedule.
Have you worked on a call center before? What’s your funny experience there?

I agree.. i went to the Philippines for my homecoming, after gone for 6 years- it is really so odd to see fellow filipinos in on some branches of coffeshops, they get to ammused on DISPLAYING too much of themselves with a hard trying english somewhat with poor accents… Awesome creepy pretenders wanted to be an americans!

Call center life in Asian subcontinents can be more monotonous. Playing pranks or silly discussions in break hours can neutralize the monotonous feel. It is better to create a lively atmosphere inside the Call Centre room. Now if you are making the subject interesting, for sure you will tend towards gossips on sexual matters also. I don’t think Gay culture is so prevalent in call centre companies.

I hadn’t noticed the type of social atmosphere that you speak of but perhaps their are differences in cultures and countries (I am UK based)Yep, there are differences. That’s just what I see or notice here in my country. I’m not saying all of them are like that.

Presently I am working as CCR yea that’s right working in a call center kind of tiring However i really enjoy it a lots, I might say that as long as it you really enjoy your job there’s nothing about to worried about it, I am also a gay but the thing is ‘I’ll make it sure before doing funny thing’s, It make SENSE”
I am proud to say I started in a “TRASH”, sabhin mn nila n d mgnda ang grammar k ‘FINE” lahat npapag-araln imbes n pgtwanan at kutsain tried to teach them naka2long kpa kesa mgyabang n magaling.
Wala yan s accent or s grammar nasa performance yan
Puro Nga good accent Failed nmn s performance
as long na CLEAR, SINCERE kh8 NEURAL at naiitindhan ng client that is the most important thing..

hahah. I love the bit about social climbers. I just hate it when call center agents just talk with their “hilaw” na american accent in the bus, in the MRT or anywhere else. :p oh well… at least you love your job. that’s the most important thing.
