Driclor: Day 1
What’s Driclor? Well, you can read my previous post yesterday about My Sweaty Hands and you can read all about it there and why I am using it now. Driclor cost around P800-P900 Philippine Peso. I bought it at Mercury Drug here at Davao. I’m sure there are available in every branch.
Okay, here’s the result of the first day I’ve used Driclor on my hands. You might notice, I’ve mentioned day. That’s because I have a graveyard shift starting at 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM so I used it during the day, while I’m asleep.
I was amazed, when I woke up around 4:00 PM, I washed my hands as what it was instructed on the piece of paper included, and I felt like my hands are so clean, like something is covering it. I don’t know, can’t explain it. It felt weird but few hours later, there were still sweat on my hands, but not like before. It minimized the sweating. Hmmm, I’m excited on the 3rd day.
Now, what did I do? Okay, here is the procedure (as instructed on the paper) I’ve done, and the proper one.
- I removed all the accessories on my hands and fingers. Rings, bracelets, etc. I think it’s a good idea too to remove your nail polish or whatever you call it
- I washed my hands thoroughly with your favorite antibacterial soap. I am using Dial antibacterial soap. If you don’t know where to buy Dial, you can find it on Watsons store/pharmacy or your favorite pharmacy.
- Then after washing my hands thoroughly, I dried it with my towel and placed it in front of an electric fan to dry. The instruction said, your hands should be absolutely dry for Driclor to work perfectly.
- After drying my hands for about 30-45 minutes, I then carefully applied Driclor on my palms and in between fingers. I didn’t applied it on my whole hands ’cause only palms are sweating for me, not the whole hand.
- After applying Driclor on both hands, the instruction said that your palms, which you applied Driclor on, shouldn’t touch any cloth. So what I did was, I covered both of my hands with a pair of cellophanes (smoked). Or you can use sando bag, or any plastic that would fit your hands.
- When you wake up, just wash your hands thoroughly again to remove the remaining solution on your palm and you’re done. So, I’m going to repeat these steps tomorrow on the 2nd day.
It’s been couple of hours past since I rinsed my hands thoroughly, and the sweat already minimized on 1st day. I’m excited on the 2nd day
Watch out tomorrow!

You dried your hands for 45 minutes? Thats so much, though.
And after you applied Driclor, did your hands start to sweat through the anti-perspirant?

The instructions said at least an hour, so 45 minutes is kinda cool to absolutely dry your hands with just a fan while resting so your hands could be relaxed when you apply Driclor.
On the first day, yeah, my hands did sweat through the anti-perspirant, but not like your hands would be so wet. When I felt my hands were sweating, I looked at my palms and I saw there were like tiny shiny reflecting things, that was my sweat trying to go out, you know. But it didn’t sweat like before that it’s obvious my hands were wet.
I hope I answered your question

Hi, thanks for sharing your story, I also have the same problem a few years ago, but now its OK. I have one question: does the instruction say for how many time you need to apply Driclor to get rid of this problem?

Actually I think Driclor can’t get rid of the sweating, it just controls it and if the sweating comes back, you just have to apply it again.
The instruction says that you have to apply Driclor every night until the sweating stops during the day. You may then cut down its use to twice weekly or maybe once a week or possibly even less often.
I only reapply it when I feel my palms are sweating slightly again.
What’s your remedy on your side? How did you get rid of the sweating?

okay, im using driclor now on my hands and feet,it does indeed work, but of course we have to wash your hands with soap the other day. we are Filipinos and we always wash the dishes and wash our undies and we go to the bathroom and take a bath! by doing this chores i get soap in my hand and i always get my hands wet and the effectiveness of driclor greatly decreases, so what should i do? really need tips here,

@Ju
You should probably use gloves when you wash dishes or apply Driclor when necessary but not too often.
