I was happy I chose University of Mindanao to study to. Why? Well, if i continued at Ateneo de Davao University, I wouldn’t be like myself now. I pictured myself as “Social Climber” if I studied there.

Peer pressure is the number one reason why I pictured out myself as “Social Climber” if I studied there. I once visited that school not too long ago, I was fetching Tessa there. Guess what I saw on the IT department. Students (of course) with laptops facing each other on a table doing their own stuffs with their own laptops. I mean, you rarely see those on my University, if you see one and if its a student, either that student came from a rich family or a dropped out from Ateneo de Davao University or any other school here in Davao.

My parents would be drowning with debt also if I studied there. Tuition fee there costs too much for my family. My tuition fee isn’t even a half of what Ateneans pay for their tuition. Even my College Assurance Plan can’t pay the whole tuition there. Whew. Just happy I made the right decision. You should too, if you’re planning to study on an expensive school, see to it that your parents or anyone supporting you can handle it. Don’t push yourself if you can’t, choose a lower tuition school with the same education as the other. Be wise.
