What does a dream mean? If it’s about your past, love life, does it mean something? I don’t know, maybe I’m just confused or something.

Well, as few of you knows (’cause my older posts about my past was deleted), let me give you some brief fact about it. Me and my 5-year girlfriend broke up last October 10, 2008. I know it’s almost a year since we broke up, but the last time we were together was just last February 2009. She had a new boyfriend, after a month or two, I had my new girlfriend too, she’s in Kuwait right now, working. To be honest, I don’t know if I can survive this LDR thing. Anyway, let’s go on to topic.

There’s this one time last week, I can’t remember what day it was. I was so deeply asleep, I know I was that deeply asleep ’cause I dreamed, I rarely dream, I don’t know why, but that’s me. I was kinda surprised why I dreamed about my ex-girlfriend, I wasn’t even thinking about her when I slept.

The dream goes like this. Me and my ex-gf together with her mom, met in a place full of flowers around us, red and yellow ones, somewhere like a garden. And then we talked and talked, had a real and good closure, ’cause we never had a real closure, like you know, talked in person or what not. You know, something that would make things which was left hanging, be cleared. After we talked and cried, we were in a garden, probably the same garden , but her mom wasn’t around and there was kids playing on the playground, on a slide to be specific. And then we argued again. (We never had an argument when we were together, I mean nothing that big, ’till we broke up). That was the time I woke up and noticed my pillow was already wet in tears.

What does my dream mean? That until now it bothers me. I asked my best friend Daisy about it, and she said “maybe that dream means something deep ’cause you weren’t thinking of her when you slept then suddenly you dreamed about her. Maybe Tessa needs you at that very moment?” and I was like “Needs me? She doesn’t even replied on my texts”. I don’t know. Jackie told me, maybe I was thinking of her subconsciously. Maybe I was.

I don’t really know what to think. What’s your interpretation of my dream? Does that mean I still love her or something?

I found this list on Friendster Bulletin and found it interesting. In short, I agree with this. I don’t really know who the author is, but I’m reposting it. Read it carefully, you might realize reading all this.

1. Guys may be flirting around all day, but before they go to sleep, they always think about the girl they truly care about….

5. Giving a guy a hanging message like “You know what?..uh…nevermind..” would make him jump to a conclusion that is far from what you are thinking. And he’ll assume he did something wrong and he’ll obsess about it trying to figure it out.
6. If a guy tells you about his problems, he just needs someone to listen to him. You don’t need to give advice.
7. A usual act that proves that the guy likes you is when he teases you.
8. GUYS LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU LOVE THEM!!!
9. Guys use words like hot or cute to describe girls. They rarely use beautiful or gorgeous. If a guy uses that, he loves you or likes you a whole heck of a lot.
10. If the guy does something stupid in front of the girl, he will think about it for the next couple days or until the next time he spends time with the girl.
11. If a guy looks unusually calm and laid back, he’s probably faking it and he is really thinking about something.
12. When a guy says he is going crazy about the girl, he really is. Guys rarely say that.
13. When a guy asks you to leave him alone, he’s just actually saying, “Please come and listen to me”.
14. If a guy starts to talk seriously, listen to him. It doesn’t happen that often, so when it does, you know something’s up.
15. When a guy looks at you for longer than a second, he’s definitely thinking something.
16. Guys really think that girls are strange and have unpredictable decisions and are MAD confusing but somehow are drawn even more to them.
17. A guy would give the world to be able to read a girl’s mind for a day.
18. No guy can handle all his problems on his own. He’s just too stubborn to admit it.
19. NOT ALL GUYS ARE RUDE!!! Just because ONE is RUDE doesnt mean he represents ALL of them.
20. WHEN A GUY SACRIFICES HIS SLEEP AND HEALTH JUST TO TALK TO YOU, HE REALLY LIKES YOU AND WANTS TO BE WITH YOU AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
21. Even if you dump a guy months ago and he loved you he probably still does and if he had one wish it would be you to come back into his life.

Hmmm, this is kinda interesting. Well, to start off, almost all of the relationships I had was through the powerful media, the Internet. It was not just a relationship that’s on the Internet only, it became real and it’s not a bad thing.

I’ve had five “Cyber Relationships”. Yeah, five. Only two out of those five are like, puppy love or not very serious ones. But I’m not regretting those. It made me grow up and be more mature on what you call “love”. Heh

Me and my girlfriend met on the Internet. Our “Cyber Relationship” became deeper and deeper as time goes by. Of course we started out as friends, for a year. And love just came out of our hearts and bonded us and made us decide to meet personally, and we became lovers. After 4 years and 6 months, we’re still together. Deeper and stronger, and I’m very happy with what we have. The bond we have, trust, and most of all, the love that we have.

All relationships work if both parties are willing to give and take. For the men, you should know your responsibilities as a man in your relation ship, and both should know about your partner’s Love Language. With those, I’m sure your love life will be better. But don’t forget to seek the Lord’s Kingdom first before anything else, and all of it will follow.

Did you ever knew your partner’s Love Language? This is very important if you want your relationship to be better. I’ve learned about this last sunday when our pastor’s wife preached about it. And I was interested on the topic. It was fun, the congregation laughed when Ate Grace taught about your partner’s Love Language. And now, I’m gonna share to you my opinion and thoughts about The Five Languages of Love.

Words That Affirm
“You look great on that shirt“, “You’re the best cook, I love it when you cook my favorite Adobo“. Words that affirm, this is very powerful when your partner’s Love Language is Words That Affirm. Sometimes encouragements can make your partner feel loved too. Offering encouragements can make him or her overcome insecurities and develop confidence. Saying a simple “I Love You” is good way to show your love to your partner, but it’s better if you add it with action. Like the this next one:

Quality Time
Common problem among married couples is quality time. If your partner’s Love Language is Quality Time, and you are very busy of something else, work, business, CARS, or anything that would make your partner feel you don’t want to be with him or her, could be dangerous. This is common on Love Languages too, almost all of us do prioritize Quality Time. Go out to dinner just the two of you, go to parks, watch a movie on the theater or just by talking to him or her alone is a quality time. Me and my girlfriend is spending time together on a park on a regular basis now. Just talk and laugh together, looking at the sky, breathing the cool air, spending quality time. It’s great.

Physical Touch
No matter what you give or say, but you don’t physically touch him or her, It won’t change his or her mood for the day. Have you ever noticed among lovers? If they haven’t got married yet, the guy is always holding the girl when they walk, but when they get married, the guy now leaves the girl behind saying “Hurry up!” hehe. Even when sleeping, hug him or her. I like my girlfriend holding my arms when we walk together, I just feel she’s confident enough to show the world that I’m her boyfriend. It’s like giving your partner confidence also.

Receiving and Tokens of Caring
Many of us feels to be loved when they are receiving gifts and tokens of caring. Just a simple flower made out of paper would be great, the effort of making it for your parter is what matters most. A breakfast in bed is also one thing that makes most of us feel loved and cared. I gave my girlfriend a small bunny on our first year anniversary. I can only afford a small stuffed toy for her, but with a hug and kiss and especially “I Love You” will make it priceless.

Getting Things Done
I like to get things done for my girlfriend, I even insist to do things that I know she can do herself. Why? Because that’s how I show my love to her, I like to treat her as my queen. And that’s how you treat a queen right? Not that I’m making her a spoiled girlfriend, but that’s how it should be. Men should treat women as queens/princesses. Actually there are 3 Responsibilities of a Man in a Relationship, if you want to find out what, click this. Other men also feels to be loved when their partner gets things done for them. You get things done because don’t want your partner to be tired or something. Taking Care of him or her is a good thing too.

Well, basically those are the 5 Languages of Love. Focus on finding your partner’s language of love. Make them happier. Show your love to them. Take care and give some gifts even if it’s not expensive. I know it sounds corny for men or something. But if you do that to your girlfriend or wife, surely they’ll respond to it and give you what you want, Love and Respect.

A man has roles to play in a relationship, whether in marriage or in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. He is responsible for these 3 roles that a man should understand in order to handle his relationship with others easily (If the woman agrees.. heh).

First Responsibility: A man is a King. King means male sovereign, ruler of a kingdom and authority. His kingdom is the relationship he has with his wife/girlfriend and family. He should rule his kingdom, and not his wife or girlfriend. But don’t jump into a conclusion that being the king of a relationship is easy. Like Peter Parker’s Uncle said “with great power comes with great responsibility. -Ben Parker”. As the king of a relationship, he should be man enough to protect his relationship from anything that could break it, like how an armor protects a soldier.

Second is: A man is a Prophet. Now, you might be wondering what that means. Well, a prophet is a visionary. An authoritative person that divines the future as what Princeton University defined it. As a prophet, he should look forward to his relationship’s future, he has to take care of it, and decide what’s best for his relationship and its future. Have visions, set goals and reach it.

Third is: A man is a Priest. Yes, as a man this is your responsibility. The man should be the most prayerful in the family. As the Old Testament says, the priests are the ones who are in between man and God. They are the intercessors, and as the man of the family or relationship he should act like one. If he has kids, he should teach his kids the right things. Be a model; this molds the future of the children.

Now, I know women will react on this. But I wasn’t saying women aren’t important. I am just saying that as a woman, you should allow your man to be the king. Don’t take away their manhood. This will be my next article soon, when I will get to research more of the women’s role in a relationship.

I’ve got handful of good/bad experiences when it comes to relationships, name it, I’ve experienced it. Heh. I’ve had 4 girlfriends before Tessa. And I think maybe I’ve found the one for me. My girlfriend and I is going strong in our relationship and we have celebrated our 4th year anniversary just this month.
